If you have a lot of photographs that you want to share on your family wiki tree, making a movie out of them is the perfect way to do it without taking up a bunch of page space. If you skipped making a movie , you may want to go back and read it to see how simple it can be! This is what it will look like when you are done! That's a shot of a wedding video I made for this wiki!
First: You will need to login to your wiki space and go the page you would like to put a movie into. Place the cursor where you'd like the video to show, and then click the little blue TV screen icon that is for you to "create widget". Select the top one, for "video". You can see it here on the top left.
Next: Select the type of video that you want to embed. If you're following this guide, you'll need to select the top one for "YouTube".
Finally: Embed your video! It's simple--go back to youtube and select your movie from "My Videos". Wikispaces explains it pretty well, but here's how you do it in my words. There is a little box that says" Embed". Using your mouse, highlight the text in that box and then hit CTRL and C on your keyboard at the same time to copy it. Now, go back to your wiki space and "paste" that text into the "embed" box by hitting CTRL and V at the same time. When you are finished, click "Save". You will go back to your wiki page, and you should now click "Save" for that page as well.
Watch your movie: By embedding it, you can watch your movie without ever leaving your wiki space! Pat yourself on the back! You can see 2 of my own creations from this page on the Pickens Family Wiki: Kathleen's page .
Congratulations! You're ready to start your own
Family Wiki Tree!
